Abstract
604,963. Combs. CLARK, J. M., and MURPHY, J. P. Dec. 11, 1945, No. 33404. [Class 131] In a comb, teeth of circular, oval or like curved cross - section which are permanently secured together at their upper ends, abut along the whole of their length with the exception of the points which are tapered and rounded off. As shown in Fig. 2 the needle-like teeth 11 are clamped and soldered or brazed into a folded strip of brass 12 which is then clamped by the inturned edges 13 of the metal handgrip 10. The upper ends of the teeth may be notched, the strip 12 swaged into these notches and the strip sweated, soldered or brazed into the handgrip.
