Abstract
234,756. Dahlqvist, O. B., and Wiklander, P. E. March 2, 1925. Socks.-A composite sock for boots and shoes consists of three separate detachable layers superposed, a top layer 1 provided with small holes 2, an intermediate layer with larger holes 5 coaxial with the small holes, and a bottom imperforate layer 6. The holes 5 constitute air cells closed with the exception of the small vents 2. The layers are held together with stainless steel fasteners 7 placed where there is no pressure from the foot. The layers may be made of one or more layers of waterproof material, for example woven fabrics treated with celluloid solutions. The edges of the holes in the layers and the tread as well as the edges of the sock may be reinforced by moistening them with celluloid solution.
