Abstract
234,109. Theisen, E. [Firm of]. May 15, 1924, [Convention date]. Gases, treating with liquids.-Apparatus for purifying gases comprises in combination, a casing e, a, series of discs a rotating on a horizontal shaft and provided with oblique vanes b at their rims, and pipes c for introducing the washing liquid. The vanes may be formed separately from the discs or by bending the rims of the discs into zig-zag formation. In a modification the shaft is vertical and gutters are provided to collect the liquid sprayed from one disc and direct it to the centre of the next lower one.
