Abstract

Working valves.- In a hydraulic apparatus for regulating furnace electrodes controlled by a valve b actuated directly by an electromagnetic regulator in accordance with the current or power taken bv the electrodes, the valve is constructed so that the speed of travel of the electrodes is dependent on the position of the valve. The valve has a pressure inlet d, an outlet e to the hydraulic cylinder, and a discharge connection f. The ports h are constructed as shown in Fig. 2.
