Tyre attachments to rims.-The edges d, d<1> of a pneumatic tyre are gripped between flanges b, b<1> on a security ring B and fixed and detachable flanges a, C respectively of the rim A. In Fig. 1, the detachable flange C comprises a ring having an annular groove D of trapezoidal section, a split ring E of similar section, fitting in a groove E' of the wheel, being expanded by a furnbuckle device or the like, to enter the groove D and slide the ring C on the rim. In Fig. 3, the ring C screws on the rim A, and is formed with a flange c<1> which has internal teeth c<2> to engage a pinion G fitted with a handle H, the pinion shaft being inserted for operation in a hole h in the wheel. To avoid damage to the tyre, a separate thrust-ring may be fitted between the threaded flange and the tyre edge. In a modification, the ring C is clamped in position by bolts and nuts.
