Abstract

232,982. Gans, O. April 25, 1924, [Convention date]. Dolls.-The invention relates to locking means for voice-producing devices for dolls. As shown in Fig. 1, the bellows 1 is provided with a weighted lever 2 which may be allowed to fall so as to engage a pin 6 on the moving part 5 of the bellows to lock the bellows in its open position. A member 9 sliding in a guide 8 has a hook 10 which may be caused to engage an eye 11 to retain the bellows in its closed position. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a U-shaped wire secured to the fixed member of the bellows so that one arm comes alongside a wire fixed to the other member, and a ring on the second wire is allowed to slide or is pushed over the arm of the U- shaped wire to lock the bellows. As shown in Fig. 5 (Cancelled), a strip 17 engages a sliding member 18 with apertures 20 which cause the device to say " ma-ma " when the apertures pass an aperture 21. The bellows may be operated by a push or pull rod, or by one of the limbs. As shown in Fig. 8 (Cancelled), a limb 23 has an extension 24 which is provided with bent rod 25 engaging a rod 26 operatively connected with a rod 29 which operates the bellows. The rods 28, 29 are carried by a rod 27 mounted on the part 12 of the bellows. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
