Automatic gear.-Relates to means for keeping constant the pressure of the steam tapped from extraction turbines a or engines having a livesteam valve g for an additional supply provided in the extraction pipe b. The live-steam valve d for the turbine and the overflow valve c for the low-pressure stages are actuated in known manner by a centrifugal governor e in one and the same direction, and by the extraction pressure regulator f in opposite directions. The relay k, k<1> actuating the valve g is controlled by the pressure regulator f through a lost-motion connection l, m so that the valves c, g are actuated successively in opposite directions.
