Abstract

230,714. Bina, F. C., and Barrey, F. F. Aug. 20, 1924. Pencil. holders.-In a propeller pencil comprising an upper detachable section 4 containing a screw propelling motion and a lower section 14 containing a central leadfeeding tube 12 forming a pointed angular magazine for refills, the inner side of the casing of the upper section 4 is provided with a single longitudinal groove to receive and guide the bent end 15 of a wire lead-propeller 9 engaged with a wire screw member 2 secured to the rotary head 5. The lower end of the propeller 9 extends into a closed central tube 12, the end of which extends through and is fixed in the pointed portion of the magazine. The screw member 2 is secured to a rod 6 passing through a gland nut 7 and fixed in the lead 5. Specification 202,059 is referred to.
