Pencil holders.-A pencil holder is provided with propelling-mechanism in the form of a flat strip of iron 6 twisted into helical form over part of its length, and being actuated for propelling the lead by two slotted caps, one of which 7 acts as a nut and is fixed in the pencil-holder barrel 2, and the other 8 is rotatable but not longitudinally slidable in the end of the barrel. The cap 8 is secured to a rotatable operating-knob 9 The barrel 2 and knob 9 may be encased in celluloid.
