Abstract
228,525. Silbermann, S. Jan. 31, 1924, [Convention date]. Junction boxes and terminal ends of cables for extra high tensions comprise metallic sheets E embedded in the insulated material immediately adjacent to the cores and arranged as indicated in Figs. 2 and 3 to render the tension gradient uniform between the joint K<1> or cable end L and the earthed metal of cable or box. When applied to cable comprising metallic layers in the insulation additional metal sheets are incorporated at the places referred to. The edges of the sheets may be reinforced to reduce radiation at the edges thereof. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) included Fig. 3 (Cancelled). This Figure does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Specification 218,312 is referred to.
