Abstract

199,118. Fleming, A. P. M., Whiteley, Ltd., B. S. & W., and Metropolitan- Vickers Electrical Co., Ltd. March 14, 1922. Transformers.-A barrier for separating two surfaces at different potentials, such as the windings of a transformer, comprises a sheet of insulating-material having its edges united by means of a lapped joint 12, the barrier being so shaped that ducts 9 are formed between it and the surfaces to be separated. For this purpose, the barrier may be of polygonal form or it may be formed with a number of longitudinal corrugations 10 united by flat portions 11, as shown. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 20523/11 and 173,320.
