Abstract

201,802. Sostene, V. E. Sept. 20, 1922. Transformers. - In transformer coils in which successive layers of wire 2 are insulated from each other by strips of paper 1, the edges of the strips are folded several times over themselves in the manner of an accordian for the purpose of providing insulation between adjacent coils. For wires of large diameter two strips, with the folded parts disposed in opposite directions, may be employed between each layer.
