Abstract

210,072. Haefely et Cie Akt.-Ges., E. Jan. 22, 1923, [Convention date]. Transformers.-A protective arrangement of the condenser type for high tension windings consists in providing the individual coils or all the coils of the winding with a conducting covering connected to the incoming lead but insulated from the outgoing lead. Coils a are covered by a layer of insulating material b which is surrounded by a thin conducting covering c which may be applied by the Schoop spraying process. The covering c is connected to the incoming lead x but insulated from the outgoing lead y which is covered with varnish or a metal oxide near the covering c to prevent sparking. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also the application of the arrangement to transformer coils. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
