Electric clocks.-The pendulum receives impulses from a forked extension 15 of a pivoted lever 6, which is actuated by an electromagnet 7 and armature 5 on the spring 5<1> secured adjustably to the lever. The electromagnetic circuit is closed by a pivoted piece 1 on the lever (i which, on the upward movement of the pendulum, is raised by the gravity-controlled pivoted cam 2 over a support 3 and, at the time the pendulum passes through the mid-position, contacts with the down-turned end of the arm 4 to close the circuit through the conductor 13 and the electromagnet. The axis of the magnet is parallel to the chord of maximum swing of the pendulum.
