Electromagnetic switches.-To interrupt a cur. rent when a predetermined value is exceeded, a contact arm a is displaced by movement of an attracted electromagnet armature d, and is mech. anically latched in the displaced position by a pin g passing behind a light spring f. In resetting the switch, a releasing arm h first moves to free the pin from the latching spring and simultane ously itself engages the pin in the curved ex tremity i. The arm h must then be released to allow the contact arm to close the circuit. The switch shewn comprises mercury-cup contacts c and a casing having an outside handle for manip ulating the releasing arm.
