Abstract

557,546. Electromagnetic switches. ARROW ELECTRIC SWITCHES, Ltd. March 24, 1942, No. 3874. Convention date, March 24, 1941. [Class 38 (v)] In an electromagnetic switch in which the armature and the coil may be readily removed, as well as the " start " and " stop" buttons 80, 82 and the " reset " button 74 for the overload release, the coil is adapted to be slid over guiding members 52, Fig. 6, on the fixed core 44 and then held against removal by spring fingers 52b. The core 44 is E-shaped as is also the co-operating armature, the centre limb of which is guided by the members 52. The " on " " off " and " reset " button all of which control the circuit to the electromagnet are mounted on a plate 90 which is held in place by the same screws 46 which hold the core in place. The armature is fixed by screws 42 to ears bent from side bars 26a which move longitudinally and are guided by pins and slots 38, 36 and links 30. The bars 26a carry the contacts 22 which engage fixed contacts 18, 20. Specification 557,543 is referred to.
