227,443. Sorge, O. Jan. 10, 1924, [Convention date]. Combined jet and surface condensers.-Waste steam from a turbine &c. a passes to a jet-condenser c and thence by a pipe d to a tubular surface condenser e. The pipe d is of such diameter that a portion of the condensate from the jet condenser c passes along it to the lower tubes f of the condenser e, whence it is removed by a pump k and utilized as condensing- water in the condenser c.
