Abstract
290,990. Skoda Works, Plzen. Dec. 10, 1926, [Convention date]. Divided on 282,106. Condensation water, collecting and draining.- The condensation water drained from a turbine 16 is led into the collecting head 18 of the condenser 17 in such a manner that it will not evaporate in the condenser. The water is conducted from the collecting chambers 12 to the head 18 by pipes 20, pressure reducing valves 21, and pipes 22. In Fig. 1 the pipe 22 enters the head above the water level but it is screened by the falling layer 47 of condensate. In Fig.. 4 it enters below the level, the water brought in being cooled by the layer of colder water lying above it. A partition 49 may be added.
