227,236. Ford, E. L. Nov. 1, 1923. Ventilators; valves.-A combined carriage roof lamp and rotary hit-and-miss ventilator comprises an apertured foundation plate 1 surrounding a central lamp chamber 2 and an apertured shutter 4 rotatable from the under side by a knob 8. The shutter 4 is pressed against the plate 1 by a spring ring 9 coacting with an annular recess in the wall of the chamber 2. The electric lamp is preferably mounted between terminals 11 in the wall of the chamber so that the leads can be attached on the exterior of the device.
