Abstract

225,740. Degen, N. J. Feb. 8, 1924. Disinfecting; disinfectant liquids, delivering.-Carpets &c. are cleaned and disinfected by a steam jet entraining benzene, liquid soap, acetic acid, &c., which is introduced into the steam pipe close to an ejector nozzle located in the pipe. As shown, the steam supply pipe is provided with an insulated handle 5, and is formed with an injector nozzle 6 near which enters a valved pipe 7 leading from a receptacle for the liquid cleanser. The mouth of the pipe is flattened. The carpet &c. rests on a table or other support.
