224,620. Pearce & Sons (Brassfounders), Ltd., G. W., and Jones, A. E. E. Aug. 22, 1923. Wind-screens.-The tubular supporting-member 1 of a multi-panel rear wind-screen 4, 5 of a motor vehicle is adjustably clamped upon a vertical portion 14 of the carrying-arm 15 by providing the lower end of the member 1 below the wind-screen with a longitudinal slit 13 and surrounding the split portion with a split collar 6 which is contractible about the member 1 causing the later to grip the part 14, for example, by means of a bolt 10 passing through lugs 7, 8 on the collar 6 and co-operating with a wing-nut 12. The collar 6 may be cast integrally with the member 1, and the slit 13 is preferably closed at both ends.
