Abstract

240,414. Baehr, G. Sept. 23, 1924, [Convention date]. Wind-screens, - A fastening device for the movable parts of removable coachwork and for other applications, particularly of use for securing the hingeaxis of movable side screens to the hood cant rail of motor and other vehicles, comprises a collar adapted to clip on the cant rail and provided with a slotted recess into which the head of the hinge-axis is slipped and secured by suitable means. When the side screens are adapted to be moved into position as wind-screens, the head of the hingeaxis is slipped into a slotted recess formed in a boss 21, Fig. 8, on the end of a rod which forms a stay for the retention or maintenance of the window panes. A screw 16 clamps the head.
