Abstract

207,984. Brown, J. B. Nov. 17, 1922. Mud-guards or wings of motor vehicles are secured to the supporting-stay D by a clamping- device consisting of an eye-bolt F and a semicircular or like piece A, these parts having extended bearing surfaces and being drawn together by a nut G. As shown, the piece A is inserted into a bracket E upon the wing and the bolt F passes through both the piece and the bracket. The piece A, may, however, be formed with an extended base and be fixed directly to the wing. The bolt has elongated bearing surfaces H.
