Abstract

192,197. Bason, G. F. Nov. 7, 1921. Head lamps, personal.-A portable lamp which is adapted to be worn on the hand of a vehicle driver for signalling to other vehicles comprises a casing 5 open at both sides, in one side of which is detachably fitted a tubular member 6 carrying a lamp-fitting 7, a sleeve 17 fitting into the member 6 and carrying a red glass 18. A hood 20 fits on the other end of the casing 5 and has a shoulder 22 against which a glass 19 is retained by a resilient wire 23, the ends of which project through opening in the hood 20. The outer edge 25 of the hood 20 is curved to fit the operator's hand, on which the lamp is secured by straps 26, 27. The lamp may be provided with a bracket for supporting it on the vehicle for inspection purposes.
