Abstract

Feeding-devices for granular and like materials. -In sifting-apparatus for granular material, the feed-hopper J is provided with a hinged adjustable discharge tray K which is adapted to be vibrated by rollers C loosely mounted in brackets b on a rotating shaft B. The rollers may act on bars k carried by the tray. In a modification, the device shown in Fig. 3 for vibrating the screen may be adapted for shaking the tray. This device consists of a number of plates H loosely mounted between guide-bars G, G<1> and acted on by the rollers C. Separate devices may be used to vibrate the screen and feed-tray, or both may be actuated by the same device.
