Abstract
720,709. Separating; grinding. DAMOND, E. Feb. 13, 1953 [April 16, 1952], No. 4162/53. Classes 59 and 117. [Also in Group XXIII] An open-ended casing 19, Fig. 2, having an annular peripheral trough 30 and vibrating means 34 under its base, is adapted to receive interchangeable containers so as to act as a filter, a buffing or a grinding apparatus. The vibrating means 34 may be a motor mounted vertically or horizontally, Fig. 8 (not shown), or may be an electro-magnetically operated hammer, Fig. 9 (not shown). The casing 19 is supported on shock-absorbing members 18 in a frame 10. The casing 19 may be fitted with a sieve 42, Fig. 3, or bowls, Figs. 4, 5, 6, for grinding and buffing. The bowl of Fig. 6 may have an aperture at its apex, Fig. 7 (not shown) to allow the material to fall into the circular trough 30, Fig. 2, for delivery from the spout 32.
