Abstract

1,083,923. Vibration screens. E. NETZSCH [trading as GEBRUDER NETZSCH MASCHINENFABRIK]. April 15, 1965 [June 18, 1964], No. 16421/65. Heading B2H. Screens 5, 6 are vertically arranged in a housing 1 which is vibrated in a vertical direction by an oscillator 17 mounted on a lid 16, a flange 7 of the housing being mounted for vertical movement on a support 10, 11 by studs 9 which are insulated against lateral oscillations by means of resilient bushings 12. The oscillator has an unbalanced member 19 rotatable in a housing 18 which is mounted on a shaft 21 and supported against lateral vibrations by springs 22, 23, the arrangement permitting oscillations to be set up only in a vertical direction. The studs 9 are secured in a supporting ring 11 on a framework 10 and the flange 7 of the housing is free to move upon the studs against the action of springs 8, 13. Material to be screened is fed into the housing 1 through an inlet 15 and passed through coarse and fine screens 6, 5 into a tray 24 having a discharge outlet 25, the residue collecting on the floor of the housing I for removal from time to time through a valvecock 26. The fine screens 5 are tensioned by means of pins 28 which are provided with resilient heads and secured on leaf-springs 27.
