Cylinders, cooling.-In a multi-cylinder engine having cylinders or groups of cylinders radiating from the crank-shaft and a radially-disposed driving shaft for the cam shaft of each cylinder or group, a gear pump for circulating oil has its driving pinion E formed on and preferably integral with one of the radial shafts C<2>. and a watercirculating pump is driven from the driven shaft of the oil pump. As shown, the pinion E is one element of an oil pump of the gear-wheel type comprising wheels E, E<1>, E<2> and having a highpressure stage comprising gear-wheels G, G<1> on the same shafts as the wheels E<1>, E<2>. At its lower end, the shaft H of the wheels G<1>. E<2> carries a bevel-pinion H<1> for driving a centrifugal water-circulating pump.
