Controlling-apparatus, arrangements of hand gear in conjunction with. - The rotatable fuel control rod 1 of a carburettor is actuated through an arm 13 and link 14, by a sliding operating- member 16 working in a guide slot 17 in a bracket 18, which is provided with an indicating scale 21. When applied to the carburettor of a Ford car, the usual inclined fuel control rod 1 is secured by an eye bolt 8 to a tube 7 carrying a spindle 2 rotatable in a bearing 6 on a bracket 5. The member 16 is held in adjusted position by a spring-pressed plunger engaging recesses 25 in the bracket 18.
