217,439. Hale, J. E. July 4, 1923. Prizing-tools.-In a prizing-tool for laminated springs, the movable abutment 1 is operated by a pinion 11 engaging rack teeth 5 on the abutment. The pinion is housed in a cavity 18 in the arm 8 of the bridge member 9 closed by a screwed member 15, and is mounted on a spindle 12 projecting at both sides of the arm 8. The ends 13 are non-circular for engagement with an operating lever 14. The other abutment 16 is adjustable. Specification 208,954 is referred to.
