Abstract

222,018. Ford, J. H., and United Yeast Co., Ltd. Jan. 17, 1924. Coating confectioners' goods. - A table 1 for icing confectionery is supported so as to be tiltable, by a ball 4 clamped between a block 5 and a boss 7 on the end of a screw 8 and is formed with two radial slots 12 in which slide the shanks 14 of interconnected curved clamping jaws 15 adapted to position the cake centrally on the table. The shanks 14 are pivoted to opposite ends of a system of lazy - tongs 16 - - 19, the central links 19 of which are pivoted at 20 on the spindle 2 supporting the table. In operation, the jaws are pressed inwardly to engage on opposite sides of the cake and so centrally position it, the jaws being then locked by tightening up the clamping screw 25 which bears on a bar 23 secured in the boss 21 and slidable in the boss 22.
