Abstract

300,748. Ruck, J. C. Sept. 30, 1927. Fittings for securing books in position on shelves.-Uprights are secured to shelves by U- shaped clamps housed in recesses in the uprights and retracted thereinto by draw bolts with thumb nuts so that the shelf is gripped between the end face of the upright and the outer limb of the clamp. Shelves can be mounted side by side or in superposed relation by the use of uprights with single or double clamps, the outer limb of the clamp being in some cases, extended laterally. The uprights can be used on bookshelves as book-supports.
