Vehicle windows; window frames; rattling of windows, preventing. - Guides for vehicle sliding windows of the type comprising two or more telescopic channels at each side of the window, have the inner channel 3 provided with a, projection 11 adapted to be engaged by a projecting part 10 on the window 7 when the latter is partly raised, so that the window and inner guide 3 then rise together until the projection 11 on the guide engages a stop 15 on the outer channel 1 or other relatively fixed part to prevent further upward movement. The projection on the inner guide 3 is of inverted hook form 11 and is connected to an extension 9 on the channel 3 so that one end 13 of the hook is engaged by metal edging 10 on the lower edge of the. window and the other end is provided with an extension 14 adapted to engage a stop 15 on the outer channel. 1. A stop 8 at the lower end of the inner channel 3 engages the lower edge of the window 7. The projection 11 may be detachably secured to the guide 3. The outer guide may be provided with an upper hinged extension projecting above the door. Rattle between the guides 1, 3 is prevented by means of spring tongues 16 fixed upon the sides of the outer channel 1 so as to engage openings therein and bear upon the sides of the inner channel 3.
