Vehicle windows ; rattling of windows, preventing.- The side and top sheetmetal channels or grooves a in which frameless windows of automobiles are mounted for raising and lowering are slotted to receive rubber or like pads or elements c, d having convex portions c<1>, d<1> adjoining each other within the channels. The rubber elements may be in one piece. Where the glass is to be capable of slight transverse movement such as is used to fix the window in the raised position, an inner trans. versely movable channel c, Fig. 4, is mounted within the fixed channel f and provided with elements c', d<1> secured by rivets or the like.
