Abstract

217,160. Priest, C. F. Feb. 2, 1923. Bricks, special shapes of. -Interlocking bricks for use as refractory coverings for furnace shafts, flues &c. and having interfitting projections and recesses on two opposite faces are so formed' that the corners are of full thickness. In the construction shown, each brick has on one face a projection 4 in the form of an H and on the other a cruciform recess 2, the arrangement being such that when the bricks are laid to break joint, relative movement in either direction between adjacent courses is prevented. Specification 214,022 is referred to.
