Abstract

214,880. Morgan, H. July 9, 1923. Coupling, non-automatic. -In a " D " shackle type of coupling, the pin 4 is provided with a longitudinally disposed rib 7 extending from a point distant from the head of the pin equal to the thickness of the upper arm of the " D," to the enlarged end of the pin. The eye 2 in the upper arm of the " D " corresponds in shape to a section through the pin at the rib 7, and the eye 3 in the lower arm allows the enlarged end 9 of the pin to pass through. The section through the pin between the rib 7 and head of the pin is circular to permit the pin turning through an angle of 180‹ to lock the pin in the coupled position.
