Abstract
187,462. Davies, D. J. Oct. 31, 1921. Coupling, non-automatic.-A shackle or coupling of D-shape for a vehicle has two holes of unequal size through which a coupling pin with a head at one end, and an enlargement or shoulder at the other end passes, one of the holes being larger at one end than at the other, or is larger in the middle than at the ends. The coupling b, Fig. 4, has a shoulder c at its top end and an enlarged head h at the other. The hole e in the top of the shackle a is oval and slightly larger in diameter than the shank of the pin, whilst the lower hole f, through which the enlarged head h may pass, is smaller at one end than the other. In a modification, the hole f is smaller at both ends than in the centre.
