Abstract

332,311. Leighton, J. H., and Cambrian Wagon Co., Ltd. April 30, 1929. Couplings, non-automatic. - In a D-shackle coupling for colliery trams and like vehicles of the kind in which accidental jumping of the pin A is prevented by a pivoted handle or lifter B co-operating in its horizontal position with a projection D on the shackle, the handle is in the form of a link having an integral bridge or intermediate part C adapted to engage an adjacent curved surface on the projection D. The pin is of oval cross-section, and in its operative position a collar E at its upper end rests on the upper limb of the shackle.
