Abstract

326,008. Turnbull, G. Feb. 27, 1929 Anchors of the mushroom type are provided with shanks in two parts the lower part 3 being carried on the pivot pin 5 mounted in the head 1 whilst the main shank 2 works on a pivot pin 4 on the part 2 at right angles to the pivot pin 5 thus providing a universal joint. The interior of the anchor head is provided with inclined recesses 8, 9 at right angles to limit the tilting movements of the parts of the anchor shank relatively to the head.
