Abstract
621,540. Cable stopper. CLARKE, CHAPMAN, & CO., Ltd., and WOODESON, W. A. Feb. 17, 1947, No. 4528. [Class 78 (ii)] A cable stopper includes a race 14 ; side cheeks 10 ; a hinged stopper bar 24 which can be swung to bar the chain's movement; and a movable bridge piece 28 which can be moved and locked into position to form a tunnel with the side cheeks to prevent the cable jumping out of the race. As shown the bridge piece may be hinged to both cheeks at 26 and secured by pins 32. The pins are held in place either by gravity or by washer and split pin. Specification 561,650 is referred to.
