Abstract
212,316. Hamill, W. W. Dec. 9, 1922. Liquid fuel, supplying.-In a liquid-fuel supply system in which fuel is fed from a tank n<1> to the carburettor d through a siphon q, a conduit p provided with a valve s connects the induction pipe and with the siphon, in order that the suction in the induction tube may be used to establish the action of the siphon. The conduit p is preferably connected to the siphon at or near the highest point, as shown in full lines, or near the carburettor, as shown in dotted lines. The valve s may be rotary or sliding, is operated manually against a suitable returning force, and may be provided with a fuel nozzle, to which a small quantity of air may be admitted, in order that fuel or rich mixture for starting may be drawn direct into the induction tube.
