Description

SPECIFICATION Nourishing food and method of producing the same This invention relates to nourishing food composed of natural materials which provides physical stamina and has rejuvenation effect such as the promotion of growth of hair.
In recent years, various kinds of goods containing artificial materials, such as quickly prepared foods, have been manufactured and sold. Thus the food situation has been much improved. However, on the other hand, strangely enough, people have not always had well-balanced nutrition. As a result, many people have suffered from hyperpiesia, and there have been so many children who have rather brittle bones. In addition, an increasing number of people have suffered from alopecia presumably due to the use of artificial food materials, air pollution, the building-up of stress and other factors. However, the real causes for alopecia have not yet been known. Under the above circumstances, artificial nutritive materials comprising vitamins and minerals are used. Particularly, an antihypertensive agent is used for hyperpiesia, and an external-use hair tonic is employed for alopecia. However, satisfactory results have not been achieved.
It is therefore an object of the this invention to provide nourishing food which supplies the user with nutrition to make him healthy, and has rejuvenation effect.
According to the present invention, there is provided nourishing food comprising a root of tangle, chinese matrimony vine, Mamushi, ginseng, garlic, adlay, comfrey, corbicula, Shiitake, and shell selected from the group consisting of shell of lobster, shell of shrimp, shell of crab and shell of shellfish, the above components being in the form of powder.
The nourishing food comprises 30 to 50 parts by weight of tangle root, 10 to 30 parts weight of Chinese matrimony vine, and 10 to 30 parts by weight of Mamushi. In addition to these main components, the nourishing food comprises 10 to 30 parts by weight of the additional components, that is, ginseng, garlic, adlay, comfrey, corbicular, Shiitake and shell. The raw materials of these components are first dried and powdered. Finally, the powdered raw materials are mixed together in a homogeneous state to provide the nourishing food. Thus, the nourishing food according to the present invention is composed of the natural materials as mentioned above.
The raw materials of the nourshing food will now be explained briefly.
Tangle is a well known seaweed. In the present invention the root of tangle is used. The tangle root contains a considerable amount of glucide similar in nature to parotin which is known as rejuvenation hormone. As is well known, among the seaweeds, the tangle root contains the largest amount or iodine which is essential for the nourishment of the hair. The root tangle also contains vitamin B which is efficacious against anemia, rheumatism, diabetes and senility. The root tangle also achieves detoxification and antihypertensive effects.
Chinese matrimony vine (Lycium chinese) contains essential amino acids, vitamin B1m B2 and C and is efficacious against hyperpeisia, a gastroenteric disorder, a liver trouble and a kidney trouble. The Chinese matrimony vine also has a tonic effect.
Mamushi is a small venomous pit viper which is widely distributed in the Japanese islands. In the present invention, a reddish brown Mamushi having reddish brown blotches on a reddish brown ground.
It has long been. used as a tonic in which instance it is either scorched or dipped in liquor.
Ginseng contains saponine, minerals, vitamins B and is efficacious against anemia, hypotension, diabetes, and diseases such as autonomic imbalance caused by stress. The ginseng is also effective in recovery from fatigue and strengthening of stomach.
Garlic contains protein, glucide, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins A, B1, B2 and C, and nicotinic acid.
The garlic has a tonic effect, a detoxification effect and an antibacterial effect, and promotes metabolism.
A shell used in the present invention is a shell of lobster, a shell of shrimp, a shell of crab or a shell of shellfish such as oyster. Such a shell contains much calcium in the form of calcium hydrogen phosphate which can be easily absorbed into a human body. This calcium, when absorbed into the human body, makes humors alkaline and therefore is efficacious against acidosis.
Adlay has a high caloric value and contains protein and vitamins. The adley has a tonic effect, and improves the function of a kidney, and made the skin beautiful.
Comfrey is of high nutritive value and is rich in vitamin B, vitamin C, chlorophy, protein, calcium and iran. Comfrey is efficacious against hyperpiesia, anemia, a liver trouble and a gastroenteric trouble.
Corbicula (Corbicula japonica) is a bivalve living in fresh water, and contains vitamin Br2, protein, and amino acid called taurine which combines with bile acid to achieve a detoxification effect. The corbicula is efficacious against a liver trouble.
Shiitake (Lentinus edodes) is a mushroom distributed mainly in Japan and Korea. Shiitake is rich in protein, minerals, vitamins B2, C and D. Shiitake serves to remove cholesterol from the blood and is efficacious against arteriosclerosis and a heart disease. Recently, it has been found that it also has an anti-cancer effect.
The above raw materials for the nourishing food have long been used for food and have no toxicity.
And, these raw materials have no side effects and are not habit forming.
The drying treatment of the raw materials is carried out as follows: A root of tangle is first dried in the sun, and than is completely dried in an electrical drying device at a temperature of 70 to 800C for about one hour immediately before the subsequent powdering operation.
Chinese matrimony vine, ginseng, a shell, comfrey and Shiitake are dried in the shade so that their ingredients are not affected.
Mamushi and corbicula are raw and perishable. Corbicula is dried in the sun. Mamushi is first steamed for 30 minutes and then dried in an electrical drying device at 1 000C for 30 minutes. Then, it is parched for 20 minutes. This steaming also achieves a sterilization effect.
Garlic is dried in the shade. Alternatively, it is dried in an electrical drying device at a temperature of 70 to 800C for about one hour.
Adley is first dried in the shade and then is parched to such an extent that its surface becomes light-brown.
The powdering operation of the dried raw materials is carried out at room temperature under a low mechanical load. Thus, the powdering operation is effected without the use of heat so that the ingredients of the raw materials are not effected. Preferably, the powdered raw materials except for the shell have a particle size of 0.1 to 0.5 mm. Preferably, the shell is powdered to a particle size of 10 to 20,tm so that it can be easily digested. However, the particle size of each raw materials is not limited to the above values.
The powdering of the raw materials is carried out using a fluid energy mill in which grinding is achieved by collision between the particles being ground and the energy supplied by a compressed fluid such as pressurized air entering the grinding chamber at high speed. With this fluid energy mill, the raw materials being powdered or ground are not subjected to heat and a high load, so that the ingredients of the raw materials are not affected.
The powdered raw materials are mixed together into ahomogenius state with slow stirring to prevent the generation of heat. The generation of heat may adversely affect the ingredients of the raw materials and therefore should be avoided. The powdered raw materials are mixed in the following ratio: Root of tangle 30 to 50 parts by weight Chinese matrimony vine 10 to 30 parts by weight Mamushi 10 to 30 parts by weight The remainder (ginseng, garlic, shell, adlay, comfrey, corbicular and Shiitake 10 to 30 parts by weight The powdered nourishing food prepared in the manner described above is rich in nutrition and efficacious against the various diseases. The powdered nourishing food is easy to take and can be easily digested. Also, the nourishing food enhances the functions of the stomach, intestines and liver, and cures the diseases caused by stress, and promotes metabolism.
Thus, the nourishing food is rich in nutrition and the digestion thereof is easily effected to provide the nutrition. Therefore, the absorption of the nutrition is easily achieved. The absorbed nutrition of the nourishing food serves to make a living body vigorous, and particularly to promote the generation of cells.
When the nourishing food according to the present invention is ingested continuously in an amount of about 39 per day, hyperpiesia and hypotension are cured, and the bones become strong. Also, the user of the nourishing food becomes robust in heaith. Further, the use of the nourishing food will stop the falling-out of the hair of those who are suffering from alopecia, and will even promote the growth of hair, which has theretofore been considered impossible. Thus, the nourishing food has a rejuvenation effect.
The reason that the nourishing food according to the invention is effective particularly in the promotion of the growth of hair is thought as follows: First, nutritive substances such as protein of good quality, various minerals and iodine are necessary for the growth of hair. Secondly, it is also necessary for these nutritive substances to be effectively absorbed into the body. Thirdly, it is necessary to promote metabolism to cause hair to grow at portions of the head where the hair has fallen out. The promotion of metabolism means that the blood becomes clean and dense, that the circulation of the blood is enhanced, and that the cells of the body becomes active. Thus, the growth of hair requires (1) the above nutritive substances, (2) the enhancement of digestive and absorptive abilities of the stomach, intestines and liver for effectively absorbing the nutritive substances, and (3) the enhancement of the blood circulation and the generation of cells in the body. These three requirements must be met to effectively promote the growth of hair.
On the other hand, conventional hair tonics are for external use and are applied to parts of the head where the hair has fallen out so that these parts are stimulated to promote the circulation of blood.
Thus, the conventional hair tonics only meet part of the above requirement (3), and therefore have been found not fully efficacious.
The nourishing food according to the present invention contains protein of good quality in the form of adlay, comfrey, garlic, corbicular and Mamushi. The nourishing food also contains various minerals particularly in the form of a tangle root, ginseng, comfrey and Shiitake, and iodine in the form of the tangle root. The digestive and absorptive abilities of the stomach, intestines and liver are enhanced particularly by Chinese matrimony vine, ginseng, comfrey and corbicula. The metabolism for promoting the generation of cells is enhanced by combination of the tangle root, Chinese matrimony vine, Mamushi, ginseng, garlic, adlay, comfrey and Shiitake. Thus, the nourishing food meets the above three requirements for the growth of hair and effectively promotes the growth of hair.
The nourishing food may be provided in the form of tablet or granule.
The invention will now be illustrated by way of the following example.
EXAMPLE A root of tangle was dried in the sun, and then was further dried in an electrical drying device at a temperature of 750C for one hour.
Chinese matrimony vine, ginseng, a shell of oyster, comfrey and Shiitake were dried, respectively, in the shade for five days.
Mamushi was-steamed for 30 minutes and then dried in an electrical drying device at 1 000C for 30 minutes. Then, it was parched for 20 minutes.
Corbicula was dried in the sun for five days.
Garlic was dried in an electrical drying device at 750C for 50 minutes.
Adlay was dried in the shade for five days and then was parched to such an extent that its surface became light-brown.
The above dried raw materials were powdered by a fluid energy mill. The powdered shell had a particle size of 10 to 20 ,um while the other powdered raw materials had a particle size of about 0.3-mm.
The powdered raw materials were mixed together into a homogenous state to form a nourishing food. The raw materials were mixed in the following ratio: Root of tangle 30% by weight Chinese matrimony vine 30% by weight Mamushi 20% by weight The remainder (ginseng, garlic, shell, adlay, comfrey, corbicula and Shiitake) 20% by weight Each of ginseng, garlic, shell, adlay, comfrey, corbicula and Shiitake was about 2.9% by weight.
One hundred subjects of 21 to 65 years old, who were suffering from alopecia, the falling-out-of hair, or blood pressure trouble, were gathered through mass media of communications for the purpose of a clinical demonstation of the nourishing food. Out of one hundred subjects, ninety (74 men and 1 6 women) were suffering from alopecia or the falling out of the hair, and ten (four men and six women) were suffering from the blood pressure trouble. Each of the subjects had the nourishing food three times a day with warm water, each dose being one gram. Thus, the total amount of the nourishing food taken per day was 3 grams. The results obtained two months after the application of the nourishing food are as shown in TABLE 1 below.
TABLE 1
