Adjusting steering hand-wheels. - Re lates to telescopic shafts for steering wheels of the kind ccmprising a sheath enclosing a slidable post for the purpose of varying thei posi tion of the steering wheel relatively to the driver's seat. A spring-pressed paw 8 and a locking eccentric 9 are pro vided on the sheath and so arranged that when the pawl is in engagement with any one of a series o recesses 3 in the steering-post 2, the eccentric engages an other of the recesses The clicks of the pawl during the sliding of the post determine the positions in which the post may be locked to the sheath by means of the eccentric.
