Abstract
208,412. Seymour, F. J. Jan. 25, 1923. Lubricant conveyed by fluid.-Lubricant supplied to the steam supply pipe P of a steam engine through a nozzle c is atomized bv steam flowing through a conical or like shield d surrounding the nozzle, the larger end of the shield being presented to the steam flow. Between the nozzle c and the shield d are a number of ribs or holes e which are preferably spiral, so as to impart a whirling motion to the steam passing through. The nozzle and shield may be welded together or may be integral with each other.
