Abstract
208,357. Hutchins, T. W. S. Nov. 28, 1922. Rotary furances.-A rotatable externallyheated retort for the low temperature distillation of carbonaceous materials or for like purposes is provided between its end supports with one or more sling or suspension bearings comprising a sling a passed round the retort band suspended from a counterweighted lever c mounted on the heating-chamber d. This bearing adjusts itself to any eccentric movement of the retort during rotation.
