Abstract
287,627. Evans, W. E., (Kohlenveredlung Akt.-Ges.). Dec. 22, 1926. Carbonizing processes. - Carbonaceous or bituminous materials are distilled while held in suspension in a heating gas in the condition of powder or fine grains, the material being carried through the retort by the gas stream, which is at a temperature of about 800‹ C., for a time which is sufficiently short for low temperature distillation only to be effected. Specification 154,253 is referred to.
