Working-fluid supply ; combined-flow type; regulating.-In a hydraulic turbine wherein the fluid is delivered transversely of the turbine axis through fixed guide-vanes in the conduit and an inner ring of adjustable guide-vanes, one at least of the fixed guide-vanes is different in form or position from the other fixed-guide vanes. As shown in Fig. 1, the fixed guide-vanes 6 at the largest cross-section of the conduit 3 are set at a different angle, the difference being indicated by the dotted lines, which are at the same angle as the other fixed guide-vanes 4, 5, 7. The fixed guide-vanes also decrease in length towards the end of the supply conduit 3. Rings 11, 12 spaced by the fixed guide-vanes and secured to the concrete setting by angle and channel rings 30, 28 support the turbine structure, the upper and lower casings 20, 16 of which carry the adjustable guide-vanes 27. The turbine impeller 8 is formed with a rim 17 co-operating with the lower turbine casing 16 and a draft tube 10. A casting or sheetmetal casing may form the inlet conduit.
