Abstract

207,580. Hawkins, T. W. July 31,1922. Endless band conveyers, fibrous material carried on.- Wool and like material is dried by independent air currents during its passage between two perforated endless bands. The wool passes through the chambers a, Figs. 1 and 3, between bands f, g supported upon rollers e which separate the adjacent chambers. A fan d forces air through a heater and into a duct b having openings into the chambers controlled by valves c. The air currents pass upwards through the material and are deflected downwards so as to pass through the material again into an exhaust flue r surrounding the duct b and communicating with the fan through a conduit s.
