Abstract

Heating-fittings. - Apparatus for drying copra in the mass comprises a casing containing an airheating furnace a, the products from which pass through the tubes b to a flue c, and chambers for the copra. The floors s of the chambers are perforated and communicate with a duct p to which hot air is supplied by a fan n; the air is drawn through the opening f, over the tubes b, and through the passage m. The pressure of the air throughout the chambers is equalized by arranging the covers u above the tops of the chambers. Relief valves v are arranged on the covers.
