Propeller guards. - An arm shaped as guide blades 5 and attached to the ship is placed immediately aft of the propeller 3. The arm mav be extended round to the shaft bearing 4 and act as a propeller guard and may be shaped also to act as a forward guide blade. Additional guide blades may be provided on and at right angles to the arm.
